I have to fool around with it a lot to get it to work because I don't use it often enough and WiFi settings in the camera are confusing. I connect via WiFi from the iPad to the 5D IV and once it connects, it gives me the shutter count. I don't have a Mac computer but I do have an iPad. I use it with my 7D Mark II and my 5D Mark IV. Free Shutter Count is an excellent free software for Windows PC that enables you to check the battery life of your digital camera. It works with the newer Canon cameras with WiFi. It costs $4.99 and will only work on the Mac platform. The only one that works 'for sure' is ShutterCount Mobile Version 4.4 by DIRE Studio Kft. Apparently Canon's newer firmware is for some reason hiding this information from outside software, not sure if the reason is good or bad but regardless I am wondering if anyone is aware of a different software that will read the late model Canon cameras. I have had a member express interest in purchasing my 5DIV and I was getting ready to send pics and information about the camera and when I went to get the shutter count using "EOS COUNT" I found that it will not read the 5D IV.
